The ramblings of g1powermac

Yesterday, we adopted our fourth dog from a rescue house.  She’s a six month old dachshund, beagle, pekingese mix and has been a wonderful addition to the family, especially for our other six month old dog.  The two love to play all day when they’re not sleeping.  At least now the other two old dogs are left alone to rest.  I’ll post pictures of both of them together tomorrow.

This has been a fairly quiet day. Not much going on as I await for my surgery in a few days. Besides that, I do wonder how the elections this Tuesday are going to end.

Yesterday, I took a short road trip to visit my old college to talk with some of my professors.  It was really great to see the college again as I haven’t been there in quite a few years.  And talking with my professors inspired me once again to just finish my computer science/engineering degree.  Even though I like filmmaking, I’m still an engineer at heart.  And if I can somehow combine the two together, I’d have my dream job.

A life changing event is in the air.  Not sure what may happen, but whatever does happen, my life will change dramatically–for the good, too.  More to come in the coming months.

Today has been just one of those days.  Nothing much went on today, though I wish I could have gotten stuff lined up to begin shooting “The Geek Sacrifice.”  Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

Today marks the fourth anniversary of writing my first blog post on my original blog.  It’s been a bit of a crazy four years with lots of different things going on.  I didn’t even post anything to my blog for these past few years.  But hopefully, I’ll be able to now keep this blog updated at least once a day, and finish up recreating the old blog posts which has been a slow process.

For the past few weeks, we’ve been taking our new puppy (shots are in the photoblog) to a puppy obedience school.  And I must say dog training is quite interesting and rewarding too if you can get your dog to actually pay attention, which seems to be the tough part with Buddy.  But I have gotten him to come, sit, stay, and lay down with some simple practice and using some real chicken as a reward.  Now if I can only get him to listen to me when I’m not holding any chicken…
